FrameThis policy explains what the Frame app ("Frame", "we", "us") does with your data on iPhone, iPad and Android. The short version: your photos and collages never leave your device.
Your photos and designs
Frame asks for access to your photo library only so you can pick photos for a collage and save your finished work. Your photos, collages, templates, carousels and anything you type or draw stay on your device. We don't upload them, store them on a server or see them.
What we collect
We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts, and Frame has no account to sign up for.
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, Frame collects usage and technical data through the services below. This data isn't used to identify you, and it never includes your photos, your collages or the text you write.
Firebase Analytics (Google)
- Which features and screens are used, button taps, and how long sessions last
- Device model, operating system version and app version
- Approximate location, limited to country or region
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
- Crash reports, stack traces and the app's state when it crashed
- Device, operating system and app version, and an installation identifier
- Technical details we attach to help fix crashes, such as the current screen, editor mode, export settings, photo or slide count, the template or layout in use, and whether Pro is active
PostHog
- Product analytics: which features are used and in what order, such as which onboarding pages were seen
- Session replays: a recording of how you move through the app's screens, used to find confusing or broken parts of the interface. Replays mask your photos, the photo editor and all text, so they show the app's own buttons and artwork, not your content.
- Device and app information such as operating system and app version
PostHog data is processed on PostHog's EU servers.
RevenueCat
If you subscribe, RevenueCat handles the subscription: it checks your purchase with Apple or Google and tells the app whether Pro is active. It processes purchase details such as the product, transaction and subscription status, along with an anonymous app user identifier.
Content downloads
Frame downloads templates, stickers and other design content from our content server (assets.framecollageapp.com, served through Cloudflare). Like any web server, it receives your IP address when the app requests a file. We don't use this to identify you. Frame also checks the App Store or Google Play to see whether a newer version of the app is available.
Advertising
Frame shows no ads and doesn't collect advertising identifiers such as the IDFA or Google Advertising ID. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Subscriptions and payments
Frame Pro is an optional weekly, monthly or yearly subscription. Payments are handled by Apple on iOS and by Google Play on Android. We never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Your choices
- You can turn off photo access at any time in your device settings.
- Deleting the app deletes everything Frame stored on your device.
- To ask about or delete the analytics data linked to your installation, email us from the address below.
Children
Frame is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
